Welcome to my Blog!

Hello Crafters! Crafting is my escape into my own little world full of ideas. Some of my best creations are produced in the early hours of the morning out of my craft cupboard …. hence ‘Open all hours’. Plus, as I have three lovely small children, often, evenings, weekends and late at night is the time when I can concentrate on making cards.

Challenge 32 (Autumn)

Hi Everyone,

I haven't got a Magnolia Halloween stamp so I thought I would adapt this one to make the first of my Halloween cards. I've been meaning to make a start on them for a while now. I recently bought a set of 'Clearly Defined' Halloween stamps from Stamp Addicts, so they came in handy with this little project! If you look at a post I did in September using my Magnolia stamp you can see her in full before I cut off the bird she is holding and her wings and some of her hair (I sound so cruel!) So here she is for the 'Cute Card Thursday Challenge' & 'The Dinky Dots Den Challenge'....

This is absolutely gorgeous Michele. You did a great job mixing the different sets of stamps. Love the idea of the ribbon down the side which I may have to pinch.

Hi Michele, your Halloween card is gorgeous! Very clever to adapt the Tilda for what you needed, and your colouring is gorgeous. Love the gingham paper too. About the prismacolor pencils, I started off with a set of 72 that a friend got for me in the USA and immediately wished I'd got the biggest tin LOL! I've been adding to my original set a few at a time from an Ebay seller here in the UK, they always arrive very quickly, reasonable postage etc. Not sure if these are the cheapest you can get them here but I haven't found anyone else that does a lot of the colours. It's great anyway if you just want a few at a time to try them. They also have the Sansodor blending solution too. Have fun if you get some and have a great weekend. Chris x
