Welcome to my Blog!

Hello Crafters! Crafting is my escape into my own little world full of ideas. Some of my best creations are produced in the early hours of the morning out of my craft cupboard …. hence ‘Open all hours’. Plus, as I have three lovely small children, often, evenings, weekends and late at night is the time when I can concentrate on making cards.

Rainy days and Mondays....

Hello there,

Well the image I've used in this card is certainly appropriate with the awful summer weather we're having! I'm really enjoying using my new stamps I got at Stamperama. I thought this image was so cute I couldn't resist it and it stamps out beautifully. I hate stamps that have thick lines but this one is lovely and fine. I also got to use another lovely stamp by 'Stampin up' for the text. If you like this stamp it comes as a set of various sentiments and is available via Jackie's House of Cards. Here is my entry for this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge. Hope you enjoyed doing this challenge as much as I did.

Here is the sketch

Hello Friend...

Hello Everyone,

I had a lovely time last weekend at the Craft Show and I did what I said in my last post and treated myself to lots of Penny Black stamps. I've got no excuse now for not having a go at the Saturday Challenges! Here's my attempt with one of my lovely new stamps.

No Pink Here!

Hello Crafters,

Back again so soon! Now I've finished my 'Stamp Addicts' assignment I thought it would be great to have a go at the 'Penny Black Saturday Challenge' 'No Pink Allowed'. I love Penny Black stamps and now I know about this Challenge I definitely will be tempted to buy some more when I go to the Stevenage Craft Show next week, oh dear!

Sunny Christmas

Hi Everyone,

I've just finished the latest assignment for Stamp Addicts. This one is for their next television show called 'Christmas & Gold Leaf' to be shown on 'Create & Craft' in August. The gold leaf just adds a bit more glamour & shine than using embossing powders. Here are a few of the cards I submitted, I have used gold leaf and also oxidating red leaf on some of the cards. It certainly seems weird making Christmas cards when the weather's roasting and anyone looking in my window to see Christmas cards on my mantelpiece would have thought I was completely mad!

Stamps used that are available from Stamp Addicts are:

Holly C3132 - Printworks
Ornament E3121 - Printworks
Candy Cane C3119 - Printworks
Flourished Frame 2785G - JudiKins
Spirit of Christmas Q023 - Printworks (selection of text and Dove Stamp)

Bye for now,

Michele
